Master the Art of the Joint Venture with Daniel Hall

Today on the Lance Tamashiro show, Lance meets Daniel Hall - a serial entrepreneur with a wide diverse of interests as well as being an excellent online trainer. He is without doubt a master of the joint-venture.

So what is a joint-venture?

Daniel describes it as being when one entrepreneur gets together with another business that most importantly holds the same values in terms of operations and customer treatment. He feels that joint-venture is one of the fastest ways to grow your business because when you have a joint venture, you can essentially align yourself with somebody who already has a community, which in itself is a much stronger marketing method then either Facebook ads or the like. In fact a joint venture partner putting you or your product/service in front of his/her community is instant credibility.

Daniel feels the most important thing is to make sure you align with the right people and that you treat the people that this partner brings in like gold and ensure the best of care for them. In doing this you ensure that your joint-venture partner looks good.

Daniel's approach to joint ventures:

He will only bring in one maybe two people a year because he intends to do business with them for the rest of his business life, and he wants to be able to focus time on them.

Everything Daniel tries to bring to his joint ventures revolves around trying to make his partners lives more abundant, and that doesn’t always necessarily just revolve around money.

Money is a welcome by-product when everything else in a joint venture is right.

Daniel feels that the size of your list is not important, its the relationship you build with the people on your list. When somebody new comes onto his list Daniel does his utmost to treat them the same way as if they were going to remain a business partner for the rest of their life. A person is a person - not a number. In the final analysis it is a people business - not a computer business. People make decisions.

Daniel Hall does a lot of webinars. He understands and values peoples time, and he takes the unusual approach of telling people up front that there will be a pitch at the end of it, and you should leave now if you feel this next hour or so will be a waste of your time.  Through this honesty and up front method he finds that people appreciate the heads up, and he still maintains a good level of sales through the webinars. He feels that if you are giving value in your webinars you have earned the right to make an offer to the attendees at the end of the session.

Lance’s approach of ‘show people how to do something the hard way, and then sell them a method to do it the easy way’ is one that Daniel agrees with.

Daniels cool tool tips:

  • Snagit - a screen capture software that can be used to make cool images for a myriad of uses.
  • Adobe Voice - one of the easiest ways to put together a VSL (Video Sales Letter). It is an iPad / iPhone only app.

Watch Me Build A Brand New Business From Scratch With No Product, List Or Traffic ALL From Scratch On Fiverr

Do you have an amazing product or service but struggle getting targeted traffic, making sales, writing sales copy or even getting a website set up?

Do you wish someone would actually give a REAL answer to the question “What would you do if you had to start over from scratch?”

I decided that instead of giving you a bunch of theory I’d actually do it, document it and share my results with you real time…

And that’s exactly what I did and I’m taking you with me step by step on this journey…

Starting From Scratch Series Second Episode: Click Here To Listen

A couple of months ago I challenged myself to start a new business from scratch. Without using my list, without using my connections, without using my existing products and only spending an hour per day.

Earnings Update:

Since I started this experiment I am at $18,706.01 total profit (that’s my take after Fiverr’s 20% commission)

LTS027-01

Here’s how I ended the month of January…

Total sales revenue: $5,272.00
Total tips revenue: $59.00
Total commission paid to Fiverr: $1064.20
Total profit: $4,256.80

Total Orders: 395
Avg revenue/order: $13.50

Here’s the daily breakdown:

LTS027-03

I used to think Fiverr was a joke of a place to be listed and sell products. That is until I realized that it is THE PERFECT platform to build a business.

Over the past 3 months my “salespage” has seen
Over 1.1 million impressions
Over 21 thousand clicks
Over 32 thousand views
Over 1 thousand orders

LTS027-02

1. Don’t have to worry about any of the technical stuff (just fill in the blank and you have a product/service listed)
2. Built in traffic – buyer traffic
3. What?! They take 20%!!!! Don’t need to pay for advertising, don’t need to pay for hosting, don’t need to pay for product delivery.. It’s a steal!
4. Not building a list – 75% of my customers are now repeat buyers. I can still message them through the messaging system and they can favorite me and find me later.
5. No need to learn or worry about copywriting my overall conversion rate is 5.8%!!!!

LTS027-04
6. Fiverr actually wants you to succeed!

How do I pick a niche?

I go over this in depth in the previous episode of this series.
- Don’t over think it
- Go through the other gigs and find something you can do and try it! When your getting started you have 7 gigs to play with.

Lessons Learned:

1) Once you have a gig that is doing well it is time to start creating OTHER gigs that can act as feeders to your main gig.
2) Customer support. I can’t stress enough how important this is.
a. Use canned responses: When someone orders and when you deliver your order
b. Be polite at all costs
3) Avoid any problem customers up front. It’s better to send them to someone else than end up with a big problem on your hands down the road.
4) Do not offer discounts to get more sales

How To Build A Solid Income Stream Fast Using Fiverr

An online strategy for earning significant income when you’re starting from scratch

Do you wish there was a way to build solid income with minimal traffic?

Do you have your whole online system set-up but still struggle with finding targeted buying traffic?

Do you know for a fact that you could succeed with your online dream if you could just get your foot in the door?

Do you wish you could easily earn $1000+ a month so you could fund your new passive online business?

What is Fiverr?

Fiverr (www.fiverr.com) is an online marketplace where you can offer virtually any product or service for sale.

You can do anything from handing out fliers to producing graphic designs to editing audio/video.

Basic sales start at $5 but can go up into the hundreds or even more.

The Myth and The Reality of Fiverr

At first, Lance ignored Fiverr because it looked like a lot of work to earn $5-that was not the internet dream he signed up for!

The reality is that very few sales are actually at $5-the average is closer to $20 to $50 per order.

Lance’s Fiverr Experiment

Once he realized the breadth of what you could offer (anything!) and the pricing options, he decided to have a little experiment to see what would happen.

He created a gig to see what would happen-he didn’t leverage his name or his other businesses.

He simply went and found some popular gigs and copied their description to see if he would get any traffic.

In just 4 short months, he went from a handful of sales in his first month to $1650 earnings in ONE month-it really works!

The Strategy

In his first month, he did nothing proactive and he averaged about one sale a week.

But, he saw his peers in the same space getting 20 or 30 sales lined up at a time-he wanted to crack the code.

In his 2nd month, he installed the Fiverr app on his smartphone and left it at “online” all the time.

That resulted in his sales going up considerably and he earned about $500 from making that small change.

In his 3rd month, he started answering messages from potential buyers immediately.

Combined with delivering all of his orders on time, those 2 adjustments grew his earnings to $900 in that month.

He just finished his 4th month yesterday with earnings of $1650 in that ONE month!

In addition to his previous changes, he started asking his buyers to leave positive feedback and, in turn, he responded to them personally and thanked them for their continued business.

On average, he spends about an hour per day fulfilling Fiverr gig orders. His average order is $10 and they take just a few minutes each. He can literally earn a few hundred in just one day.

The ‘Gig’ Economy

You can start on Fiverr with literally “nothing” and grow your business into significant earning potential each and every month.

Most of Lance’s Fiverr business is now coming from repeat clients. Why?

It’s about good customer service! Buyers appreciate how you treat them.

Provide a good-quality product or service.

Deliver on time.

Thank them for their business.

Tip: The more positive feedback you have and the more you engage with your buyers, the higher you will rank in the Fiverr system which results in your gig being shown to more potential customers.

Today’s Take-Aways for Fiverr Success

Find some gigs that look popular and copy them.

Install the app. Whenever someone messages you, answer them immediately

Always deliver on time and request your buyers to leave feedback.

Deliver personalized service and thank buyers for their business.
