    Hi Lance,
8 years or so virtually wasted without setting up any proper sort of financial site, dumb.
Too, too many shiny new objects and doing practically nothing with 99.9%, dumber!
Money going out hand over fist but I have really been trying lately to slow this down, my credit card will like that idea!

You are so right with spending too much time without a break of some kind. Instead of burning the midnight oil or beyond, I am finding that if I get to 9.00 or 10.00pm I’m just about falling asleep and nothing is getting done correctly. Dumb & Dumber!!!!

Being busy doing nothing will not buy the essentials.

Thanks again for the kindly kick in the rear end and the wake up call.

    Keep up the fantastic calls.
    Regards
    Lawrence

    Thanks Lance,
I’ve been attempting to use this productivity system suggested by yourself and Robert for a while, and this episode has just put all the pieces of the puzzle together.
And anyone reading this, do yourself a favour and buy their Papertemplate software, I was finally able to complete an entire website, option/sales page etc that I was also happy with due to their software.
    Keep up the good work

    Lance:

Once again, your podcast was timely with information and insight. I have seriously buckled down and started building a real business. No more being busy and buying stuff – that isn’t a business.

But I like many others, and like yourself, have a dilemma – there is only so much time in a day, and we are taking on building a real business when we are not sleeping. Or eating. Or spending time with our family. Or getting exorcise.

I have been working really hard to optimize my time. To get things done sooner and quicker.

For example, I get an hour for lunch. Recently, instead of sitting in the lunch room with other engineers gabbing about whatever, I have taken to sitting off by myself with my laptop and my lunch.

I have one hour to write and publish a blog post. Or one hour to get an autoresponder sequence going. One hour. That is it. And it is AMAZING how utterly focused I am during that one hour.

And how I can get things done in that hour, that if I had an evening, would take an evening.

I really appreciate your advice on taking care of our selves and our families, and when we make take to work on our business, be focused and very very productive and just get stuff done.

Your observation about the typical work world, that tasks and work and success are based on time spent and not production or results, is spot on. And we have been trapped in that mindset.

It isn’t how much time I have spent in this IM business. It is how much have I gotten done.

Oh, and your simple suggestion that for a squeeze page or optin page, to start first with the Buy Now button, then go back and start filling in the rest of the landing page… Wow.. great stuff.

To sum up, thanks Lance for the mindset check and your frankness on what it really takes to build an online business – not just hard work, but smart and productive hard work.
